I am thinking Baratza Preciso. Where might one find the aforementioned refurbished type?  I poked around a bit and did not see any on the Internet... But it is vast and I am small.

You find them only directly from them.  I think they post them on Tuesday or Thursday.

here's a link to their refurb site. Click Here (www.baratza.com)  Currently, only the Vario is available, but like Helen said, they update it on Thursday mornings.  The warranty on the refurbs is a full year.
