I have owned my La Pavoni Professional for four years, and being a proactive learner, I have managed to achieve a single shot of perfection. Allow me to qualify that; 4/5 times, when starting the machine from cold, I produce a shot that is as good as that particular roast can be on my machine. So perfect means nothing goes wrong. I have never made two perfect shots in a row ... Poll: What is the largest number of "perfect" shots in a row you have pulled on your pavoni, and how?
So how about your home autos, semi autos, pump machines etc?
Poll: What is the largest number of consecutive "perfect" shots you have pulled on your home machine? Which machine, and did you do anything special?
<==== Zero consecutive shots for this guy since I got "fancy equpment".
I know that the accepted quality of equipment in this community can vary as much as $7000.00, I consider what I have to be fancy enough that it should make decent espresso.... so far, I am not that good. Been working at it about 3 months and about 15 lbs of coffee (much of it has been poured down the drain).

I would not say they were all perfect but I have not thrown one out because it was bad for a few years now. Sure some are better than others but on a 1 to 10 scale, I have not been under 8.5 for Avery long time and over 9.3 most of the time
YMMV!:-)
