Hello, I have been restoring an 1995 astoria 2 group machine. I installed new pump(Internal Rotary), Completely disassembled both groups(Cleaned thouroughly), replaced 3 way solenoid valves, coils, cleaned all screens, jets etc. Ive got peerfect 9 bars of dispencing pressure and everything goes well EXCEPT... I Cannot seem to get water to flow from either group, only through the backflush tubes. water flows through both flush tubes just fine but i cant seem to figure out why i cant get any water flowing through either group head. The only way to ive been able to get water to flow from either brewhead is if i plug the backflush tube with my finger. Any help would be greatly appreciated .thnks!
If the water is freely flowing through all three ways of the three-way valve, then the three-way valve is shot or possibly installed incorrectly. I don't know what your exact problem is, but it is right there at the three-way valve based on the fact that your brew water is flowing in whichever way gravity takes it.
Thanks for your reply. My problem is when i hit the brew switch i hear a buzz, the pump kicks on , BUT water begins to flow from backflush tube which should be coming from brew head. I have replaced all ruby solenoid valves, and coil. ( valves seem to only fit one way). i can post pics if needed thnks
