I ordered the Gaggia water inlet fitting / OPV used on the Classic so that I can adjust the pressure down. FWIW, I found a really cost- effective alternative to Parts Guru called Electra-Craft. The $65 part at PG was only $37 at EC. Of course, that just meant I could order MORE parts as I'd already mentally spent the $65. I am contemplating a PID as well, but with the grinder and parts and taxes and shipping I will have spent close to $500 this month on coffee... Plus the couple of bucks a day to my favourite barista. That's many americanos! I can't wait for the grinder to arrive. I ordered it relatively locally (same province, I am in Canada) so with luck I'll see it early next week.
Will report back on my progress. I am anticipating great things... Coffee mostly.

Quick update. Received my Preciso on Tuesday, set it up and....

It works! Looks like one major problem has been solved. I can easily choke the Gaggia with this grinder, in fact the default setting of 8E did so pretty good. I've got it dialed in to produce ~60ml in ~28 seconds and boy, you can sure taste the difference between over and under-extracted. I have crema galore. I haven't received my adjustable OPV yet, that should help even more, but for now I am a happy camper. Of course I am completely wired what with all the "test shots" but that's a good thing...
