We should have a trick out my Oscar party in Seattle. I am hoping I don't have to tap my group head for the restricters. I want to do all that to my Oscar along with the steam wand mod.

plindy, What vacuum breaker did you use? Did you order the musica one? I was thinking of getting this and doing it on the steam side when I upgrade my steam wand. Do you think the OPV adds anything to the taste of the shots from Oscar??

Yes, if we did this we could totally shoot the whole thing to post. I would love this because I would not have to buy a bunch of tools and I would have some support. Every time I open the lid to my machine my husband goes ballistic. People fear what they do not comprehend.

Helen, that's not a bad idea. I'm sure the guy at NS is sick of me at this point, but it would be fun to invade their store anyway with a litany of parts we need.

Maybe plindy will volunteer to help us. I could film it and post it on line.
This is what I have as a list so far: (I already have the restricters and I am undecided about the OPV)

Wow you're going all out! I'd be thrilled with just getting the valve chunks out of my HX, getting the copper cleaned up, having a new boiler sock, and getting the vac breaker myself. I'm a relatively broke college student but I can at least offer Plindy pizza and beer :D
I also have a really nice HD camera if we did want to do a video. There's lots of Oscar owners out there who have the same problems again and again. It would be nice to have more resources for them.

I want to do the steam lever mod, vacuum breaker, restricters, and make the wand a bit longer. Frank said the wand mod was 86 bucks. I might do the OPV. My insulation looks good, also a descale of the boiler. If we do this, food will not be an issue, I am a very good cook.
