Subject: La Marzocco GS3 Steaming Picture - Which One?

Hello folks:

I am thinking, seriously thinking, about buying a GS3.  From all the videos and information I have read this beast really seems to have a lot of steaming power.

In thinking about the little extras I might want to order if, and only if I spring for the GS3 what size frothing pitcher would you recommend for someone who would only be frothing for himself or perhaps two individuals?  Right now I have a 12oz which I use with my Giotto P.

Im thinking I will probably need a 16oz pitcher to give the GS3 enough room to really let the milk roll.

In looking at the selection at Chris coffee in terms of the 16oz it comes down to two choices:

  1. The Motto Imported Italian Steaming Pitcher 16oz   Click Here (www.chriscoffee.com)

  2. Hands Free 16oz Steaming Pitcher:  http://www.chriscoffee.com/products/home/steamingpitchersandknockboxes/handlefreepitcher

I will admit Im leaning toward the Motto they look really beautiful but so is the price!

Which pitcher would you recommend and why?  Does anyone on this form have experience with either of these pitchers on a GS3?

Just as a side note Im not looking to do any latte art just some nice micro foaming.

Thanks,

Rob

My previous machine was a GS/3.

But independant of the machine, I prefer the 12 ounce pitcher because of the size of drinks I usually make.
The Motta and Alessi pitchers are both excellent.

One beauty of the GS/3 steam tip is that it works well with the small pitchers.
