Dean, I have not yet received an email or other request from you. All parts are readily available but through Crossland Coffee at this time. All distributors have access to parts they just don't have then in their inventory. This is done to keep track of any issues that arise with the product and I personally monitor the distribution of parts. I do this to make sure that I can track exactly what the parts are used for and why they are being used. Guess I am a bit of a control freak but I have only your interest in mind. After the first 2 years of the product i will let go of this and stock all distributors with the necessary parts.
I have not sent you a request for parts... my request went to SCG for the portafilter gasket. Since portafilter gaskets are basically a wear item, I think that these should be available to order. I had intentions of keeping one on hand just in case I ever needed it.

Hi bill,
I was the one who sent the request for parts. I sent it to the email listed on the Crossland website. This is a little bit of a relief for me, but also is a bit of a hassle to go through the distributor, but I understand the need to track the issues are seeing. For me I am looking for a long term investment into a machine, and any type of gasket that it rapidly heated/chilled will have to be replaced eventually i.e the brewhead gasket. SCG customer service made it seem that I would have to have the machine service by their service department for this type of maintenance. Your response is understandable, and your product will defiantly get a second look for me.

I was unsure about the CC1 for the same reason, but a few e-mails to Bill and I was all in. My CC1 has been one of my best decisions ever and definitely one of my favorite coffee toys. It's so reliable and consistent for me. I'm coming up on my one year of owning and I don't foresee any big issues at all with proper maintenance. It's such a joy to own.
