Thanks Frank! I'll give it a shout one weekend coming up. My only concern is running into problems and not being able to fix it.
After watching the video and what Markarian said about plindy doing a majority of the work (he is obviously experienced and handy)it makes me a little nervous that I'll screw something up or end up with a huge mess on my hands with no working machine. I also don't have extra parts laying around for snags.
I guess it's time for me to quit crying and mod this thing already.

I have taken apart my machine and replaced the pump, the safety valve and disassembled and cleaned the 3 way valve. I had no idea what I was doing so I took lots of photos and went slow. If you don't have a part the thing sits there on the bench till you do. I am not handy and I survived and my machine was working and in fairly good shape. My photo story and the video was more clear info than I had.

The parts from espressoparts was about 86$ according to frank. I spent almost 50$ on the vacuum breakers and the Gigleur/restrictors are under 10$ I believe- I got them a while ago. Shipping and minimum purchase from NS sucks so try to find the parts local to you or from another source.

Did you have the part numbers of the musica restrictors?
I've had my fair share of run ins with the ole Oscar (changed the brain, level probe, cleaned the two way solenoid valve, descaled, and some other small things) so I have some understanding of the inner workings of it.
I've been using it for approximately 3-4 weeks and have pulled some pretty good shots. This is my first machine so I'm a complete rookie.
What's crazy is 2 years ago I didn't even drink coffee.
I also bought a behmor 1600 and jumped right into roasting. What a fun process altogether.

I am looking at the LED " Power on light" to see if I can figure out how to tap into it to light up the LED strip I want to add to it. Anyone good with electronics?

Helen, grab a multimeter and see if its putting out DC voltage. Anything around 12v DC and supplying around 1 watt or 100mA should power the strip. Keep in mind your polarity, as the terminals are marked in tiny white silkscreen on the backside of the strip.

I am looking at how I can tap in without cutting the wires. I see a way to put the up by the group head tons of room without cutting the case. I can't seem to get the wires off easily. I have tugged on them and they look like they should slide off the blades but it doesn't move....

Sounds like you are describing spade connectors? They can be fairly tight. I usually try to wedge a screwdriver and twist keeping all of the force at the connector and then you don't pull off a wire or connector.
