All I hear is the motor and the pump, what is it that concerns you?

I watched again with the volume turned way up and still only heard the motor and the pump, two different but normal noises. I did not hear anything that was abnormal or worried me. I have used lots of machines so this is not my first go round.

Sorry my friend but I am not the only one to hear it or think it is normal, many people on the forum thought was not normal noise. Plus on the Demo machine I did not hear it,i heard a quiet rotary pump.

Roberto, it may be helpful to post in your first post the sound the first machine made, if I hadn't heard it there I would not have picked it up on the video of your second machine.

Definitely sounds to me like the motor for the pump.  Maybe a bearing needing some lubrication?  On the second video you posted(which is the original video?), if you listen carefully, when you stop the shot, you can hear the noise "slow down" slightly before it stops completely.  Its subtle, but its there.

This is why I think its the pump motor.  When it gets to a certain output, it makes the noise, but not all the time at all output speeds/currents.

Have you checked to see if maybe the pump/motor assembly is mounted improperly?  Or had a look and seen anything out of the norm?  Id open her up and have a look.  Maybe its mounted improperly.  Maybe the pump is slightly too tight on the motor.  Or like said about needing lubrication.

Could be any of those, or none of them.  First things first.. confirm without a doubt that the sound is coming from the motor/pump assembly by taking off the case and sticking your head RIGHT next to the pump/motor as you're pulling a shot.  You could probably just use the backflush disk so you don't need to prep a basket with coffee every time you need to replicate the sound for diagnoses.

I can really hear what your talking about.  NO... that to my ears is not a normal pump sound.  I think you are right in getting this checked out.

I am sound engineer and have very good hearing.  Trust me.... I hear it too.
