Ok I agree with you, but what really gets me mad about the dealer is that both times he said they tested the machine and it is ok. So I am guessing that test they do does not involve pulling shots. Sorry but if I had a customer complain I wold make sure things work correct.

According to CC the R58 passed the UPS inspection, but the shipment from Italy will not be here until sometime in April. CC is known for very good customer service, might be worth a call to them.

I'm assuming you're sincerely interested in learning more about the machine's noise. The first machine did have a higher pitch sound. The second machine sounds pretty normal, although I did hear a short high pitch whine for a few seconds.
The noise could be caused by water supply constrictions. Are you using the internal tank for water, or are you using an external water source? If you're drawing water externally, how is your water supply configured?

I listened to both vids and can hear the noise being referred to. I'm not convinced it's the pump motor BUT I would remove the case, put my ear near the pump motor and listen carefully. It sounds like the noise comes after the motor is up to speed and the group pressure is already hit 9 BAR. There shouldn't be that much lag of the motor for the noise to appear so late, I would think.

Hi SStones. so here is the latest. I spoke to the Dealer and he contacted Andrew Meo confirming that that is a normal sound. So now the dealer along with his tech are telling me there is nothing wrong with the machine and he has to go with what Andrew said. To be fair he is trying to make me happy and offering to give me an Alex 3 or another type to make me happy. He said he is going to consult other tech around town cause now he will have 2 machines he has to sell and wants to get to the bottom of this So I am confirming that the owner of Rocket said that is a normal noise.
I am going there AGAIN on Saturday to sort this out, either we open another Brand new machine or get me a Duetto 3.

Put it this way. No one elses rotary pump machine makes that noise under normal use. Ive had two rotary machines, one I had plumbed in(Vivaldi), and my duetto 2 is currently in tank mode, and niether made/make that sound.
Now.. mayyyyyyyyybe the R58 uses a different pump/motor, and mayyyyyyybe that brand pump and motor really IS supposed to make that noise. Mayyyyyyyyyybe. IF thats the case(which I doubt), choose another machine. (If that was actually what was happening, they need to choose a different pump/motor combo, because anyone would think there is something wrong when hearing that noise)
Seems like your dealer is helping you out, and in the end, thats what counts. If he's offering you a Duetto 3, my mind would be put at ease, because when you go there this weekend, you're either leaving with an R58 that doesn't make that noise, or a Duetto 3, which doesn't make that noise.
