I've toyed with the idea of buying one of these, simply because i like the style but i've not had any experience with them. I run a coffee shop and use Bezerra machines, but i'm thinking of using this for use in the home really.
Are they reliable? Any opinions?

So, just the looks of the machine drew your attention? Have you looked into the specs? Seeing as how you run a cafe, one (here) would expect you to know at least a little bit about espresso machines.
Any reason you don't want a Bezzera semi-commercial? (Other than the cost)
I'm full aware of the specifications, just never had any hands on experience with them. I want to know about reliability, if people have had issues with them, things like that really.
Bezzera range is far more expensive and i just prefer the Ascaso styling, it's more inkeeping with my kitchen. I like the pseudo-classic appearance.

I don't have and haven't ever had that machine, so I can't reply to your specific questions. It's hard to recommend something though without knowing your needs (how many drinks, how often and the other things we typically ask before giving advice).
