I'm not sure if I put this in the right place to post this question?
We have a Gaggia Coffee Delux that hasn't been used in 2 years. We moved across the country and it made that trip fine. But the car ride from one friend's house to our home didn't go as well I guess, because it hasn't worked since. I think the pump isn't working. While I realize we could probably fix this ourselves, we haven't done so in 2 years, so I'd like to find a local (or at least not very far to ship to) place to get it fixed.
Any tips or good places near Nevada? I've done a little Google searching, but new enough to the idea to not make much progress.

Welcome to CG.
Before you send it off, how about describing the problem. It worked before a car ride and now does not pump? No noise, noise but no water,??? Could you just have a loose connection or wire in the machine?
You can pull off the top and look for a wire connection that is not attached. Understand that you do not want to work on it, but a loose wire could be an easy fix.
Sorry, to not answer your queston directly, I do not know of a place in the area.

Hi, thanks! I could've sworn I had an account before but couldn't figure out what it was :P
You are right though. There is noise, but not like normal. It's a "lighter" noise. And then nothing. It sounds like the pump is trying to work but the water either won't come in or else won't come out. If that makes sense? We did try descaling. I remember trying to use a turkey baster to do ... something last year, but I can't remember exactly WHAT we were trying to do.

This is too funny. Earlier I told hubby I was going to find a repair place because I was tired of the darn thing sitting on the shelf. After asking him a couple times to describe what it did a year ago to answer your question, he got motivated to take the darn thing apart. He says it's super gunked up. LOL Not sure this will actually fix it, but we'll at least be closer. In the meantime, dinner will be late tonight!

I am not sure where you are in it. I usually try running with the steam wand open to prime and releave any pressure. Remove the screen and try running water through the group with the screen off and the wand a bit open. Diagram may help.

HAHAHA - he fixed it! Took the whole thing apart and deep cleaned it, put it back together and it's working. Only problem is he ran vinegar/water mix through it :( Oh well, done is done. I did tell him not to do so again. Is there a recommended descaler product/routine recommended? I can look it up, just figured I'd ask here too.
He's so predictable. I should've told him a year ago that I was going to find a place to fix it =P
