Posted Tue Mar 26, 2013, 3:21pm Subject: Brasilia Century Cappuccino pump priming challenge
This has been a fantastic machine recently, but there have been a couple times where I haven't been able to get it primed unless I disconnect one of the fittings shortly after the (vib) pump and run some water through. Any guess why that could be? I swapped the pump when I first got the machine, but I think it was this priming challenge that was causing my difficulty, not the pump. I experienced this when I swapped the pump, when I briefly removed the pump to install sound insulation, and a couple days ago I woke up and found the machine flashing "stop". It turned out the hose had vibrated its way out of the reservoir, but too much air in the line to prime the pump without the above mentioned solution. Now all is back to normal, but would love to move past this.
Also, does anyone know how to adjust the brew pressure on this machine? It's a configuration I'm not familiar with, no return line coming back to the tank.
