Posted Sat Jul 13, 2013, 2:47pm Subject: My Isomac Giada is dripping and loosing pressure
hi there, got an Isomac Giada which I've had for a good 7 years now without so much as a single problem. Recently however the machine started dripping just before it reaches the right temperature but more frustratingly when I switch it on it seems to struggle to press the water through. The pressure goes up really high and the releases so the pressure gauge is constant;y going up and down resulting in a very uneven flow of coffee. I'm pretty sure it's not lime scale as I clean it regularly and the pressure issue occurred at the same time as the dripping so it seems to be related.
Any ideas what the issue might be, read some where that the dripping might be due to the "mushroom valve" but not sure if that would explain the pressure issue?
