It seems to me, looking back to my early days with computers, like my 8088 with the "full" 640Kb of memory and the upgrade to EGA graphics, that it was better when computers were expensive and only literate people bought them. Now, particularly during summer vacation time when school is out, and children have access to their parents' computer, the termites come out of the woodwork, and the only thing we can do is digitally spray.
"Hey! Can you folks help me? I want to buy a coffee maker and I already know what I want, and I just need a bunch of people to tell me I am right. I know that none of you are as smart as I am or knows as much, but that's OK. There really isn't that much to know, becasue after all, it is just coffee. Even the opinions of the ignorant masses will boost my ego, sort of like when everyone bows down to the King. Now, the machine I really like is the Senseo from Phillips and it makes the best coffee in the world. I know becasue I have been to three places and have had four different coffees. It is even better than Folger's Instant with International Delight Cold Stone Creamery "Hot for Cookie" Gourmet Coffee Creamer(*1)!! What do you think?"
*1 - Yes, it is real. Even I could not make something like that up!
