Subject: Beginner with Elektra Microcasa!

Hello,

Very beginner to this machine and home espresso making.  I am getting the hang of the machine and wondering just one questions right now.  I make maybe an espresso or two a day, should i be turning the microcasa off in between and if so do I need to de pressure the machine?

Last night i played around with it and then before bed i released all the pressure with the steam valve and then turned off the machine.  Whats the best way to go about this?

Thanks!

Mike

It takes about twenty minutes for the machine to heat up to proper temperature for pulling shots. If you are having an espresso in the morning and another with dinner, then it makes sense to turn the machine off after your morning shot. Don't worry about pressure - it will fall automatically as the water in the machine cools.

It is practical that you have to turn off the machine in between shots if it will take several hours. The pressure will normally go down if it is cool. You donít have to worry to the pressure of the machine because it will take only few minutes after you on the machine. The Electra Micro casa is at temperature after 11 minutes and you have to pull your shots right away because if it is beyond, the coffee will burn.

In the evening, donít hurry! You have some time for yourself and you can drink fabulous cup even if you have your kids. It will only take few minutes and you can have your shot.

Did you know...? Dark roast coffees actually have less caffeine than lighter roasts due to the fact that the process of roasting burns off caffeine.
