Yeah that is helpful to me.  I'm a bit of an audio nut (I have my own home studio) so sound is kind of a picky thing for me.  I can live woth 60-80db.

Thanks man,

Rob

Hey, how accurate can a free android sound app be? That is why I am providing you with other measurements so you can compare... I have more.....

Background noise in the kitchen with nothing running was showing    38db.
12" in front of V2V with pump running and blind basket installed        69db
12" in front of vibe machine with blind basket and pump running        82db (this is my old machine)

I then fanned the door on the refrigerator so the refrigerator would kick on. Standing in front of the refrigerator (doors closed) I measured 52 db with it running. Nothing else in the kitchen was on.

Exhaust fan over range on low....3" in front of the fan......65 db
Exhaust fan over range on high   3" in front of fan  69 db
Built in microwave.... 12 inches in front of door running on high   68 db
Sink faucet running full measured at counter height at front of sink 74 db

Man......I can't believe you made light of my sincere effort to give you useful information.... I bet that adds two extra visits to the therapists for me! I will have to pawn my V2B to pay the therapist bill!

What you need now is for someone with a Samsung S4 to install the same app and measure their GS3.

Yeah.... I sold it to a coffee retailer last month for a song.  It's now their demo unit.  For now I'm drinking press.  It's good but boy I'm missing espresso.

Once I move and get back on my feet I'm ordering that Vetrano DB.  I can't afford another GS3.  I feel the DB is a close to a GS3 as one can get. m

If my ship ever comes in (most likely in the form of a lottery ticket) I would probably order a single group Slayer. Until then I guess I will be happy with the V2B.
