Subject: Low pressure on group head

Hi, I am new here (and in the Espresso business).  Just acquired an old Wega Atlas (One, I think).  It worked for about a week, and then suddenly the pressure gauge jumped from (9 - the green area) to  12 and water came through the group head VERY slowly (dripping).

When I tighten the screw on the motor, while holding the "shot pour" button, the pressure increases, but when loosening it, I cannot get it lower than about 12.

I am at a bit of a loss.  I have tried dropping the pressure on the water inlet, but the gauge stays at about 12, when trying to pour a shot and water just drips out the group head.

Any help / direction would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a block in the line somewhere between pump and group...possibly a bit of scale found it's way into the gicleur?
