Subject: Gaggia Platinum Vision Steam Wand quits

My Gaggia Platinum Vision is malfunctioning. It's been leaking for a couple of years, I never could determine the source of the leak, and now it is quitting during steaming (about 30 seconds or so after starting). A little wrench icon appears on the screen, the error says "restart to fix the problem," but restarting doesn't do anything but bring the same error onto the screen (over and over) again. After descaling it worked exactly once, then began giving the error message again after steaming for about 30 seconds or so. I'd really like to get this machine fixed.

If anyone has any ideas on what I could do to fix it myself, I'd welcome them all.

If anyone knows a good place I could take it to in Chicago to get it fixed, I'd like to know that as well. Based on existing Yelp reviews, I contacted Espresso World at 5065 N. Western, but he just emailed me back to let me know he doesn't do residential machines anymore.
