So just recently, my Gaggia Evolution has been performing differently. The water has started to flow out of the grouphead in various directions rather than in a uniform manner. I've attached a picture. I have been using filtered water, and only got the machine off of ebay about 3 months ago. Any ideas?
edit: for some reason the image hasnt been able to upload so here is a link

Have you taken the shower screen off and looked behind it?
You will probably find that you have coffee and coffee oils plugging up the holes in the screen.
A good soak in Cafiza will clean it right  up.

I'm having some trouble getting it to unscrew, and i don't want to strip the screw. Can I use the cafiza tablets and run the water through the machine?

My Evolution was like that last week, shower screen was gunked.  Screw was tough but with enough force it backed out.

Nope.  Cafiza is a detergent;  you don't want that in your boiler.  You only want to use it where you have coffee oils to degrease.
You will need to be able to remove that screw regularly, to clean behind it, so....just do it.  If you strip it you can find a replacement, but you really have to get that shower screen off.   When you do you will see why.

A short stubby screwdriver is your friend for this job.
