Everything works great except the last group head. The manual dispense button works fine and water is dispensed. But when I try and use the touchpad, the pump motor kicks on and the count on the display works, but not water is being dispensed out of the group head.

I have taken the touchpad and moved it to another group and it works fine. So I know its not the touchpad. The manual dispense works fine. So I know its not the solenoid and the flowmeter is clean.

As of right now, all I can think of is...maybe a bad ribbon cable? Any thoughts?

Do not think it is the ribbon cable.  if the pump is turning on the signal is getting to the board OK.  The switch on the board is a triac (solid state device) so when it fails it will fail ON.  I presume this is OK so I would start checking he wires form the board to the solenoid valve.  If you want to troubleshoot the keypad/ribbon cable anyway, a good way is to swap it at the board so for example...... group 3 controls group 4 etc.

Nice. Once I got into the board, I saw that there was some kind of crazy short that happened. When I say crazy I mean a short that actually fried the printed copper right out of the board. I replaced the little surge protector round capacitor looking things as well as two of the triac transistors that were inline of the massive burn path.

Works like a champ.

Thanks!
