The scale is accurate to 1/8 ounce or 3.5 grams. That's not accurate enough for coffee. Check out www.americanweigh.com . The AMW-500 for $29 can be calibrated and reads to the closest 0.1 gram.

Thanks, was hoping I could find one at amazon since I had a $25 GC for it.. Might have to go to americanweigh.com and use the amazon for something else. Also hoping to find a 1000g one to use for my bike also. Suppose I can't ask for too much under $30.
