Posted Fri Apr 18, 2014, 2:05pm Subject: Cimbali group heads giving different temperatures . what could the problem be
Hello everyone, I am running into an interesting problem With my 3 year old Cimbali m27 commercial machine (40 cup/ day average use): When I measure the temperature of the water coming out of the group head (2 group machine) there is a difference of 4-5 degrees F between the two! What could cause this ?
I am using a scace device. And a amprobe TMD-52 thermocouple thermometer
Method: With the scace device I am getting a reading of 208 for boiling water (dipping the scace basket into water while boiling 2000 ft altitude which is about correct).
Anyways reading from water boiler spout on machine reads 206 on scace device After machine idle for 4 hours temps are as follows :
Group 1 : max 200 Group 2 : max 207
it has been regularly flushed with blind filter and cleaned with blind filter and powder cleaner provided by the distributor every 3 days depending on use ..also screen is regularly removed and cleaned.
Is this an indication of a very dirty group head? If so ..How do I go about getting it totally cleaned ? Or is it something else ?
