My new Graef ES85 make a couple of clicks every 15-seconds or so - I'm wondering of thermostat or something like that.  Never had such noises on any other espresso machine I've had, so wondering if there is a problem.  Any ideas, please?

Usually the pressostat makes clicking noises. However, every 15 seconds seems pretty frequent to me. How's boiler temperature?

funnily enough, not great temp takes ages to heat up and then still not particularly hot

Well, I'm going to go out on a limb here and hazard a bet that the problem -- whatever it is -- involves neither p-stat nor boiler.  Considering that the Graef es85 is a pure thermoblock machine with neither p-stat nor boiler, it's a good bet.

You're absolutely right. I missed that detail.
