Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if this type of post is allowed--if not, mods can go ahead & remove.

I'm starting a PID site that will hopefully link most of the useful information that is out there to one central location: www.PIDsilvia.com

It's non-profit, so I figured this post might be okay since it's for the "greater good."  I'm looking for submissions of articles, directions, pics, links, anything that you may find useful in regards to modding (specifically adding a PID to) your machine.  Obviously, there's  a little focus on Silvia because it's probably the machine that has had this mod done the most times, in many & varying ways.  However, if you've PID'd your Zaffiro, I'd love to put pics on the site!

Also, other mods or general coffee-related articles are welcome, as are proof-readers/editors.   I'm specifically interested in pics/tutorials on:
  1. PID installation and use (obviously)
  2. Pressure Mod on Silvia
  3. Pump Replacement
  4. Boiler Overhaul
  5. Common Ills and How to Remedy (high-temp thermostat tripping, etc.)
  6. Where to get parts
  7. Pressure Gauge Installation
  8.  Copper Tubing "pre-heat" mod

Since the site is non-profit, I can't pay ya, but I'd be happy to link to your site (and there will most definitely be a few links to this site, Mark!), give you praises or accolades, shine your shoes, or make you a double--if you ever come to central Iowa. . . for whatever reason.  :-)

Thanks for viewing, and thanks for your help putting this resource together.

cool I'm planning on setting up my Carezza as soon as I can swing by my old workplace.  We used to have a box full of old controllers and thermocouples.   When I get the stuff I'll try and document the process
