A few days ago I was thrilled to receive a bottomless PF holder (fantastic!!) and 2 hole steam tip ordered from Espressoparts.com, but was dismayed to find that the steam tip didn’t fit on the steam wand of my Giotto Premium.
The Espresso Parts steam tip has a 10mm female connection that screws ONTO a 10mm male thread at the end of a steam wand, while the standard 2 hole Giotto Premium steam tip has an 8mm (approx) male thread that screws INTO a matching female thread inside the steam wand.
After trying unsuccessfully to source a suitable adapter here in Perth, I found a local machine shop that would custom make a 10mm to 8mm connector. I would just need to find suitable seals for each end. Not really an ideal or cheap solution.
At that stage I had a good look at the Giotto and lo and behold discovered that the required adapter, and the seals (see photo) was already sitting there - connecting the end of the hot water wand to the hot water dispenser.
The 10mm side of the adapter is a tad too long for the Espressoparts tip but it will be easy to shorten it for a perfect fit.
Charles at www.ecm-espresso.com.au in Sydney has kindly agreed to see if he can order in these adapters from ECM in Italy, which is good news for Giotto owners in Oz wanting to try out other tips with "standard” 10mm threads.
So far the new tip has been interesting. It is a fair bit slower than the standard 2 hole Premium tip, keeping steam pressure higher, giving more time to work before the temperature gets too high and producing (for me at least) finer foam.

Thanks Terry,
It is certainly the simple solution, particularly as the machine shop were not certain they would get a perfect fit into the steam arm unless I actually brought the arm in to them for fitting.
The genuine Giotto adapter obviously has the added advantage of "matching" the look of the machine, as well as being a perfect fit fitting in the steam arm and having the necessary seals.

Anybody know the status on this? It would be interesting to try a different tip on the Andreja Premium for smaller amounts of milk - I assume that this adapter would also fit the Andreja Premium? In fact, it seems to have one on the hot water wand like the Giotto Premium - I'd just need another one for the steam wand - anyone know where to source one of these?
