I have a Brugnetti "Top" espresso machine that sometimes will not work. The button lights on the front of the machine will not light up but the "flow" button light blinks. I have check the connections in the machine to make sure there are no loose connections and otherwise everything seems to be working ok. It worked fine earlier in the day then just stopped.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what may be wrong? This had been a reoccuring problem with this machine and I decided to try and repair it myself as the repair shop gets it to work for a while then it stops and I have to take it back in. Any help on this would be appreciated.

It is a group 1 with the electronic portion control. The unit is about six years old I am told and from the appearance I won’t disagree. I like the unit but it was purchased as a reconditioned unit about four months ago and has been back in the shop about six times for minor stuff.
My problem is that the electronic controls will not work. The unit gets hot and the controls worked yesterday morning when I was cleaning the unit but stopped and the light on the continuous flow button started to blink. This happened before and the technician said that it was a loose connection in the screws in the plastic tank that prevent the unit from working if the tank gets empty. I am not convinced that was the problem but it did work for a while.
To give you a little background, I had a problem with the unit’s pressure gauge and took it in for a repair. He found the pressure gauge was bad and replaced it but also found the connection at the base of the boiler was bad and replaced the connector. It ran about five minutes when I got it home and the new connector that he put on the unit burned out. The connection was not tight. I replaced the connector with a connector intended for an electric furnace application, tighten the nut holding the connector and corrected that problem. When I turned the unit on after I repaired it, it worked fine except the electronic controls now do not work. I have checked all of the connections to make sure they are tight, let the machine cool and tried it again without success.
Any suggestions? Someone else thought the problem was in the pressure sensor and it needed to be adjusted. The sensor has an adjustment screw but there is no way to tell how to adjust it except by trial and error.
