I just switched to a botomless PF (53mm La Spaziale) and it's been a great learning tool, but my pucks are now loose. Not slush, but not firm enough to knock out in one piece.

I tamp aprox. 18-19g with the new Espro (also a great learning tool) and draw great shots. Anyone else experience this situation?

Thanks...Derek

I don't think the bottomless PF should make any diff.  You probably switched pf baskets??  This could make a difference.  If you switched baskets, you could always go back to the old basket.  If you didn't switch baskets (and didn't switch espresso blends) then I'm perplexed.   Rob
