Subject: What do you consider an acceptable amount of defective green beans?

Just received a shipment of green beans from a vendor.  Was looking at them and noticed quite a few beans with dark black and brown spots/circles.  I decided to go through them and see exactly how much before I start griping.  Well after sorting through 3 lbs. of yirgacheffe I ended up with approximately a 1/4 cup of defective beans!  I never noticed these in my other vendor's greens.  I am sure there are a few, but not this many.  The defects ranged from the beans with black spots and beans with black spots with part of the bean sort of missing, and the "hollow" beans.  Mostly though the defects were these black spots that seemed to "eat"  into the bean.  I think I read previously this is caused by an insect eating the cherry?  Maybe I will try and post pictures later tonight.  So what do you consider an acceptable amount of defective beans?  Should I complain to this "vendor"?

Hmm, good question.  The Burundi was advertised as AA, the yirgacheffe and mysore was not specified.  I just emailed them to ask, will let you know.
