Could someone please explain how I upload Photos to the forum?? I have gotten as far as having then saved on my pc in .jpg format taken from an iPhone (don't know if this info is relevant or not?)

Photos have to be quite small (data size, not photo size) before you can post them. 75K I think.
I generally use editing software or search for online jpg shrinking services that will compress your image to get it under the size restriction for posting to the forum.
Then down at the bottom of the screen (when you are typing your forum post) there is a section to "attach a file"
