Hi,
Since it's the summer and it was exceptionally hot lately. I decided to do a long overdue descale, having owned the HX machine for about 7 months ( La Nuova Era Cuadra). I followed the simplified HX procedure, and it seemed to work well as the water that came out was faint green. After the descale I did a few rounds (3-4 1L resorvoirs) of boiler flushes and grouphead flushes, but I'm a bit concerned regarding the steam wand. It seems to emit a minor acidic smell whenever I open the steam valve. I just steamed some milk and was able to get good microfoam. There is no discernible acidic taste to the milk or the water from the grouphead. Should I be worried at all about the faint smell coming from the steam wand?

It occurs to me I should probably provide more information.
Descaler is a packet of Dezcal.
Boiler flushes were done using the tipping method to get the boiler sensor to trip.
Also was wondering if there was an inherent smell to steam. It might be that I started noticing a smell after the descale, but maybe was always there. The smell subsides after having the steam wand on for a few seconds.

I don't think it should smell, boil some water a few times with the steam wand to see if you can flush it out. The dezcal might still be in the boiler, that is where the steam water comes from. Fill stainless pitcher with cold water maybe a few ice cubes and turn on the steam and let it go till it boils. Repeat as needed. If this fails I would find a way to drain the boiler.
