Obviously, I don't have the money yet, but eventually I will.
One of the justifications for getting a home espresso setup is that it will eliminate trips to the coffee shops which are so expensive. So, in the long run, you actually save money.
Now, granted, my initial expense was a bit more than I had planned on, so that puts the savings threshold into the future a bit more. And once I started, I realized there were more supplies I needed, so that added to the expense. And you can't blame a guy for buying those nice cups which look so good sitting on the cup warmer, can you? And I'm probably not saving a ton of money on days like today when I'm making 6 double shots out of $16/pound beans from Espresso Vivace. And, of course, I really do need to upgrade my grinder (yes, yes, I know), so that will add a tiny bit of expense. And my machine looks so much nicer on the table I bought for it, so cut me some slack!

You do what most of the rest of us do - put the money you're saving aside into an "upgrade-itis" account so it's there when you see that "amazing deal" on "just the final piece that will make my espresso setup perfect."
