Ok, I am about to show how little I know about plumb in machines... Anyway... My kitchen is an L and I am thinking of turning it into a U in the next year or so. Adding a row of cabinets and getting rid of my sliding glass door to make it a U would make me have to move my fridge or leave a huge gap in my U for the fridge door to open. It is at the top of the L shape. If I move my fridge can I use the ice maker hose to plumb in an espresso maker?

It depends on the line. Most ice maker lines are plumbed with 1/4" and if the run is more than a few feet from the source it may cause supply efficiency. 3/8" is recommended. Also, depending on the water you may also wish to add a softener or other water conditioner to avoid (or lessen) scaling.
While what was said may indeed be true, I am using a 1/4" line and it is about 15 feet long and our home has low water pressure. Even with all the above, my machine works just fine. It may take a few seconds longer to fill a low boiler but it has been running this way for several years and I have no issues. YMMV!

ok that is good to know. I will probably be able to make that work then. It is not that far from the sink. This is all just dreaming.. I am long way from a remodel. (or a good lotto ticket.)
