Posted Fri Jan 18, 2013, 10:06pm Subject: has anyone tried the heat gun/dogbowl roasting method?
i've been soldiering along with my air roaster, (NOT a popper, but a real coffee roaster), and it's so loud it's almost impossible to hear the vitally important "cracks", especially as i move further and further down the path of bright, light-roasted SO's.
so it seems like a heat gun and a stainless dog bowl might give me the auditory control i seek, as long as the heat gun isn't too loud. anyone done this?
