I am in New Zealand. I ordered a Gaggia Classic from Australia (EBay) - just across the ditch there. It took about five weeks to get here. Through a series of unfortunate happenings and cock-ups, the whole deal took forever.
That is pretty rare though - last time I ordered something from Australia it was here in less than two days - 36 hours to be exact. So my experience with the Gaggia was unusual.

I guess I am a little frustrated, I ordered a machine and grinder and the customer service rep said it would ship same day, and arrive monday. It took two days days to ship and will not show till wednesday. Am I overreacting or is this a valid complaint.

Thanks for agreeing. I contacted the vender with my frustrations we will see what they have to say and if they try to make it right. I guess I wanted a validation that my frustrations are warranted.

Ask them if the store ships both of the grinder and machine. In my case, the grinder was shipped directly from the grinder company. However, due to some mistake, the grunder was never shipped. I only received the machine and needed to contact them to sort out that mistake. Very disappointed.
