Coffee in Honduras is having a problem in proper drying. Most of the areas are wet and humid, thus coffees can be ruined by rain showers.
I doubt if the coffee brought by your friends are Honduran coffee. That color black maybe the result after roasting. There are roasted beans that are colored black and shiny or oily. Well, it may not come from Honduras. Donít bother yourself to order such beans that canít be confirmed where they came from. There are varieties of coffee at some local stores that you can check out and buy anytime.
