My wife dropped the top to my roaster and rendered it inoperable.
The class roasting chamber is fine along with the base of the machine.
I will sell both or will be willing to buy the top if someone has any parts.

Hi Mark,

Man, I'm sorry to hear about this unfortunate accident!, {:-( hopefully someone might have a top from their HWP & broke their roasting chamber & you'll get a top!! Barring that, how old is the unit & how many roasts have been through it? How much are you asking please?

Thank you! {:-)

Hi Craig

Moot question now. Just ordered the I roast. I'm not trying to make money. I would like it to go to a coffeegeeker who needs the parts. New list for the parts was $136 on the hearthware site if they were available. (http://www.hearthware.com/parts_roaster.html) I'm thinking $50 plus shipping for both or a reasonable offer. I purchased the machine 3 years ago ±. I have used regularly over the last year. We use 38 grams of coffee each day. Using this data I have roasted 163± batches over the last year.

I have broken the top to my HWP and successfully repaired it with J&B Weld.

More recently The glass developed a crack which grew to the point where the machine was unusable.  I was able to secure a quartz cylinder of very nearly the same size.  I am in the process of carving the bakelite peices to get it to fit.

Phil,

Thanks for the info. I'll try the JB solution and see if it will get me by until new roaster arrives. The top is in pretty bad shape though.

Hello, all... I have a saved search on eBay for anything Hearthware (I love my precision). A solution to your problem may be available there... seems there is a roaster available because of a broken glass carafe... the ebay auction number 4352545793.

Hi Chip,

thanks for the info. I used the earlier suggestion and glued my to back together and it is working fine. I have a buyer for mine lined up if I decide to sell it.
