Hello. I'm seriously in the market to upgrade my espresso production by moving up from one group head to two. The thing is I want to sell my Reneka1 Viva machine but I'm not sure what the value on used machines is. Boyd's will offer me up to a $750 trade in, but the machine retails for $3400 and it's only 1 1/2 yrs. old with minimal use. I'm wondering if anyone will give me some tips on selling it for a good price. I've thought about ebay but I'm not sure what sort of price would be fair. Any help please?

I am interested as well. Can you give me the specs, incluing the dimensions, features, number of heads, single boiler/dual boiler, etc. Also, why are you selling this unit?

These machines, and other like it, tend to lose their retail value pretty quickly. A quick check on e-bay shows that this type of small commercial machine usually doesn't sell at the owner's idea of a "fair price".

Hello towmartinis, tampedUp. The details on the machine are as follows:
One group brews 1-2 cups at a time Compact size ( 16.5 inches wide, 19.5 inches deep, 22 inches w/legs and 17 w/o Interchangable side color panels Built-in rotary pump Automatic boiler filling(Does not depend on pressure of main supply) Pre-infusion system(Helps insure a high quality shot) Electronic microprocessor-controlled, allows easy programming of key critical functions Programmable hot water(One touch instant hot water, hot/cold water mix for adjustable hot water temp.) Automatic safety system protects heating elements Heated top pre-heats cups 4" Stainless steel legs(Easy cleaning under machine, meets NSF standards) Hassle-free maintenance(Adjustable brewhead, Removable drip tray, Streamlined exterior, Removable diffusor and shower screen)
All in all this machine has proved itself a winner in my book. It is commercial grade. I've had it for almost two years in a light coffee traffic environment(not a drive-thru), so it has seen few miles so to speak. It has a very sharp proffesional chrome look to it too(makes for a nice and shiny presentation). It retails for approx. $3400 and Boyd's coffee co. will offer only $750 as trade-in. I'm looking to get more out of it and I'm interested in discussing a price. TampedUp, the reason I'm selling this machine is because I want to get a two group model to provide faster service when the summer hits. Twomartinis, I'm not sure of the comparison between Viva and techno. sorry. If any of you are interested in pictures and further discussion of buying this machine you can e-mail me at: brahmanfire@hotmail.com.

Hello Brahman,
I'm not fully sure about what could be the market price of such machine, but what I'm sure is that i'm looking for such reneka viva and the best price I've found is 1800€ for a reneka LC1 V 2005 machine.I'm based in France close to Reneka factory ... I'm interest in your Reneka machine and I can offer you a good price for it if the machine looks good.
Pics, history, and specs. Any buyer that is not going to yank your chain will respond as positively to these three things as they will to dramatic underpricing. With the latter, they simply react to the gamble, with the former, they buy as quickly but with far more confidence. I have an Asotria Argenta SAE 2 RG that I'd be interested in swapping for a single group pro machine, but pics of the machine under the body panels, under the baskets, and up into the brew head will get me far more interested in machine than the sales pitch off the internet. What size PF's does this thing use?
