hello,
i'm thinking about buying a Siliva from daniel1247 on ebay. has anyone bought from him before? he sells Silvias that have been "demo'ed" for almost $150 less than a new one. i'm curious and a bit skeptical.
i apologize if this is the wrong forum for this. but it made sense to post in here. let me know if i'm wrong.
I believe that is the guy from Sunbelt Imports here in Houston. CLICK for STORE
They are reputable enough, and I have purchased a few small items and parts from them. I know a couple of folks who've purchased Silvia and Rocky from them as well. As far as I know there have been no problems...
But I have very little experience with them. It's always been my impression that they primarily serve commercial concerns.
I have purchased two Silvias from him, one about 2 years ago and the other about 18 months ago. The first was off ebay and was also advertised as a demo but was actually a new unit in a sealed box. The second I bought direct from him at Sunbelt. It also was brand new, sealed box. both were double boxed for shipping. I paid the same price for both of them, which was about $450 total, shipped to northern California. This was an excellent price at the time. He was one of the cheapest seller's out there at the time and I had been looking for quite awhile. Prompt shipment. I have had no trouble with either machine so cannot report on service/repair. However, I would not hesitate to buy from him again and he has been selling on ebay for at least a couple years now.
