After searching online I cannot find anybody that sells these. Does anybody have a source, and if not, am I going to have to buy a complete steam wand?

You can buy a replacement tip that has multiple holes from a few popular vendors, but I've usually seen them come with the whole wand kit. The tips are somewhere around $15-25 I believe, and claim to be better than the stock tip. You could find the whole wand for around the same amount so it's a matter of preference. You'd think there's somewhere that sells just the stock tip but I haven't seen them advertised. You could try calling some Rancilio vendors just to ask.

Yeah, that is where this all started actually. I bought a used machine that only came with the three hole tip from WLL. After working with it for a few months, I want to give the stock tip a try because people seem to agree that it is superior. I think I will just have to buy an entire wand. I tried contacting a few vendors, but none of them seem able to get the stock tip.

Oh, ok so you have the 3 hole tip...hmm...you might have better luck trading that for a stock tip as someone may want to try the 3 hole tip. Actually, I have the stock tip/wand installed on my Gaggia and would consider trading it for the 3 hole if you're interested. I'd think you would want to keep them both, though.

If you would like to trade let me know - I'll pay shipping and I would be willing to send you my tip, then after you receive it you can send the 1-hole back to me. That way you would not be without a tip.
Peter
edit: but in the interest of full disclosure - the reason I want to try a stock tip is because I am having trouble getting the milk to whirlpool as much as I like. Take that into consideration, because I would feel bad if we trade and then you are in the same situation.

Well, I have a second machine that I can use and wouldn't be without a machine while we traded, but I have always been looking at the modified tips such as the one you have but never bought one. I'll send you an email shortly - if it's not as good as the stock tip I wouldn't be too concerned. I don't use that machine too often anymore since upgrading.
