I see no reason why a well maintained GS3 should lose 40% of its value for resale. The technology is top and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

Anyways, I'm toying with the thought to sell my GS3/MP. It has many enhancements and additions: Stainless steel steam wand, new drip tray grate design, new fully encapsulated vacuum breaker valve, bottomless PF, a large collection of baskets.  Regularly changed group gasket, and paddle valve O-rings.

But I'm looking for at least $4200 USD and buyer pays for shipping.

Good luck,
Wolfgang

It's the first MP unit commercially sold in USA. September 2009. It has received all the improvements the current version has.

Thanks for the reply. I do understand that a 40% price decrease from new may seem like a bit of a stretch (a brand new GS/3 sells for around $5300-5500 depending on the dealer), but there has been other GS/3's sold both on coffeegeek and home-barista.com that have sold in the $3500 range and even as low as $3000.

Do you happen to have any pics you can share?

It just seems unjustified to me, unless there's an issue with it.

Check out this thread:

MyPaddleSetup

At the end of my picture series (starts at unpacking) there's a pic of the complete setup. Not much changed in the appearance from taking that pic (it also includes the stainless steel wand), except the drip tray cover is the enhanced current version (and the bottomless PF is not shown).

That's a really beautiful looking unit.

Why are you selling such a 'one in a life-time' set-up?

My current job doesn't leave much time for it anymore, and I might be either moving to Europe in a few months or at least add a lot of travel to my daily work life.  I am not completely decided yet and I sure hate let it go, but it's supposed to be used. Depending on the offer I am therefore considering selling it (and the grinder too).
