Hi everyone.
Newbie to Coffee Geek here. In the early 70's, when I lived in NEW Jersey, I had a roommate who was a coffee buyer for Zabar's in NYC. He turned me onto great coffee, and I've never looked back. About the same time, my stepmom gave me an old Cory vacuum coffee maker that she had stopped using and put away. I'm still using it today. About 20 years ago, I happened onto another one, which I gave to a friend as a present. Six months later, he "gave up drinking coffee" and gave it away. I was so upset that to this day, I'm not sure I've ever really forgiven him, although we do remain friends. <g> Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm always on the hunt for another one. Mine is a manual stove-top model, and that is what I'm looking for. Hopefully, a member has one that they'd like to see go to a good home, or knows where there is one for sale. And.... I promise to to give it away this time. I'm attaching a picture of my favorite kitchen angel. Please excuse the mousetrap in the corner. That's one of the favorite places the mice like to show up! :-)
