Happy 2013, y'all. I'm helping a friend track down a vintage lever machine for his small kitchen. Since he only drinks espresso, I think an open-boiler machine like the Caravel or La Peppina will best suit his needs. A machine in need of restoration is okay, provided that the essential parts are all there. PM me if you have anything like this that you're not using, and we can talk about the fair market value based on model, vintage and condition. Thanks.

Try raising your price ceiling. I would be thrilled to buy either of those machines at that price. Honestly, I think you would be lucky to find either under 350 or 400.

I bet I can get my buddy to stretch his budget to $400 for a Caravel, and above $300 for a restored Peppina. Unrestored Peppinas sell in this range. Just infrequently on this side of the Atlantic.
Italy trip in the works for 2013. I bet they have some over there. :^)
