great you have a budget. great you're open to suggestions. I highly recommend reading the espresso machine buying guide before giving someone your hard earned cash, so you can begin to figure out what you need/want. At least that way, you may actually be happy with what you buy. Also, make sure you have some money set aside for an adequate grinder, which is essential for producing good espresso.
