For years, I have had these and Corys available for cost over at GCBC with a donation going to Groundsforhealth.org, a woman's healthcare effort in coffee growing communities. Good outfit.
I will be moving in Spring, clearing out inventory (have 6 to move), once and for all. All have been tested in Yama 5-cuppers. All without flea bites, chips, or cracks. From the 1940s and work like a charm. 1st few will ship with box; others without.
$12 plus shipping.

Dave, are these the same as the one that was included in the GCBC Yama road show? That metal cap and chain don't look familiar. Also, any idea re: compatibility with tabletop models? Thanks.

First, that is a glass top, not a metal cap. The Corning rod was part of the road show. Silex is a different rod. JB, measure the throat (from point of seating to tip) on the 3-cupper and I will tell you if it fits.
New 5-cup Yamas are manufactured with a lip in the throat to discourage rod use. Check your Yama and make sure no lip is glazed in.

Thanks for the clarification. By "cap" I meant the thing the chain is attached to. I don't have a siphon of my own yet--was just checking re: future compatibility.
Aside: that's kind of lame on Yama's part to mod the throat IMO.

Yes, but first measure the length of the tube. Start at the seating area, where the filter would sit within the upper dome and measure to the tip of the drain tube. Let me know that distance.
