I have owned it for about 3 years, I am planning on getting the Duetto 3 so I am going to sell this one, it is not in flawless shape, but I will be sending it out to the guys at Chris Coffee to get it ready to sell and they will go through it and make sure it is in excellent condition prior to someone taking delivery

Thanks, Dave

UPDATE

I sent it out to Chris this morning, It cost me 225 to ship to Albany but the service dept told me it will ship from there for under 100, the machine will be shipped straight from Chris coffee after they have done all of the checks and service on it, at 1750 that would include me paying the shipping, have had a couple of people interested but not sold at the moment, thanks all for the feedback and help as always

One was listed a short while ago at the same price you've got.  Id say for a brand new one, its a little low, but one thats owned for a little while, thats a more then fair price.  You should have no problem finding a buyer for a Duetto 2, its a killer machine.

Why do you want to upgrade to the 3?

Regardless of the selling price for your 2, you will certainly be taking a substantial loss when considering the cost of the new machine. The differences seem relatively minor between the two, but since you've owned the 2 model, you obviously have a perspective I don't.

Which improvements on the 3 make it worth the upgrade to you?

I have had quite a few emails wondering why I want to sell it, not sure why it matters, but here is why I decided to sell it.

I had to send it in to get it serviced, 225 shipping, approx 75 per hr charge for work to be done brings it to 300, cost to ship it back to me roughly 100 (they get a better price i guess) =400 + any parts it needs means I am already into it for at least 400, so I may as well just spend a little extra and get the new one, price of the 3 - profit from 2 = possibly 1200 give or take, it more than paid for itself in the time I had it, now someone else can enjoy it at a price point that works for them.

Bottom line they are great machines, this one is for sale, and will make a great machine for whoever becomes the new owner

I understand espressoanon was getting some strongly-worded emails about how this sale was going to go down, but as the lucky guy who bought the machine I can say that he is straight-up and that I got an excellent deal. Machine was serviced by Chris Coffee before being sent to me, what more could you ask for when buying a used machine?

Takeaways:
-espressoanon is a trustworthy seller and a genuine coffee enthusiast.
-It was my first experience, but it seems that Chris Coffee has an excellent service department with a helpful staff.

So, thanks to espressoanon and Chris Coffee!
