I'd like to buy a Sivetz 12 # Roaster, working or not. Preferably in that size range. Nothing larger. Does anyone know how one would go about getting a schematic for one of these machines to produce a copy? I'm sure most everyone knows that with the passing of Michael Sivetz the existing stock has been sold off and the business has been closed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unless you get better leads than this one, here is what I would do. You are not so far away from Corvallis, where his shop closed. I would nose around the local coffee scene in Corvallis to find out who knows what. 'Boots on the ground' is the best way to gain knowledge, IMO. If there is not enough coffee culture there to interrogate, I would make the rounds in Portland coffeehouses. Reading archived copies of the local paper in the library may also give you the information you are searching for,l i.e., who bought the machines, who owns the patents, etc.
