Posted Sun May 5, 2013, 10:23am Subject: SOLD: Lelit PL041 and many accessories
I am (very regrettably) having to get out of coffee for awhile, and so I'm selling my well cared for Lelit PL041 and almost all the accessories you need to get started with espresso. I haven't had any money to buy coffee with for a few months now, so the machine has just been sitting in my room. I'm also going to go to college next August, and I just won't be able to take any of this there, and I'll probably have even less money there than I do now. I've had this machine since I was 15, so it's pretty sentimental and I'm a little sad to see it go. Anyway, the machine doesn't really have any issues aside from a steam wand that drips while it's turned on and heating up, but that seems to be a fairly common issue with these Lelits. It heats up very quickly and steams effectively for a fairly low-end single boiler. I also cut the default portafilter out to make it bottomless - it isn't a perfect job aesthetically (though it looks fine from the outside), but it's completely functional and sturdy. This would be a great way for someone to get an introduction to espresso.
I am including in this sale: One Lelit PL041 with bottomless 57mm portafilter, double basket, and instruction manual - $430 One 12 oz ESPRO Toroid steaming pitcher - $32 One 57 mm Rattleware stainless steel tamper - $29 One stainless steel knockbox - $20 One 25 oz container of Joe Glo backflush detergent - $11 Two packets of Dezcal descaling powder Two glass espresso shot glasses Two white ceramic cappuccino cups The starter manual for the machine Optionally, I'll also throw in a crudely manufactured blind basket made from the single basket that I never used. I essentially just glued a rubber disk down with silicone adhesive, but it works perfectly. It should be food safe, but if you're worried about that then you can tell me to keep it. I could likely remove the silicone and revert it back to a single basket if you'd really like it, actually, but it served me much better as a blind than as a single.
Finally, here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/ZUGLT Sorry for those obnoxious blurs/dots in my pictures, but the glass cover on my phone's camera is cracked and I haven't received the replacement part yet.
I'd like to get $300+actual shipping for all of this, but if that's not a reasonable price then I suppose we could work something out. Feel free to send me offers. I have no experience shipping internationally, so I'd prefer to keep this sale within the United States. I'm sure shipping rates to other countries would be incredibly high on something like this anyway. I might ship this as multiple packages if that works out to be cheaper (unless you opt for me to send it as one), but I will make sure to provide you with accurate information for all of them.
Oh, and I have an OE Pharos that I'm parting with too, but there's a possible sale on that. Assuming that falls through, I'll let it go for $200 or so.
Edit: I'm not sure why I'm listed as having one post, because I used to post here fairly regularly a long time ago. I'm sure someone somewhere can vouch for that, so don't let my post count dissuade you.
