FS: Alex Duetto II with upgraded Solid Chrome Feet / Light Use / Exceptionally Well Maintained
My lightly used and much loved Alex Duetto II, purchased from ChrisCoffee. This machine has the original knobs on the front (which I prefer -- these can be changed out if desired). I have upgraded the feet to all stainless ($50) and have taken immaculate care of the machine. I backflush with water after each use. For the last year, I've switched over to pour-over and vacuum pot coffee, and this machine has not been used. Prior to that I used the machine on average 3x / week. This beautiful piece of machinery needs a new home.
This is the 20-Amp model cord. Chris Coffee reports that the owners manual reports includes information on how the unit can be switched over to 15 amps via the PID control and used with an adapter cord. The unit is in perfect working order and I have even replaced the expansion valve -- which is the one maintenance item on these machines likely to need repair after a couple of years; now you don't have to (part supplied, of course, by ChrisCoffee and professionally installed). The group head gasket and screen have also been replaced to ensure no maintenance is pending upon purchase. Mechanically this machine is perfect.
The unit is clean and in excellent condition. More photos can follow if desired. I have the original box and can ship, but pick up is preferred. I am located in Mountain View, CA (about 40 min. south of San Francisco and 20 min. north of San Jose).
The new Duetto runs $2600. Save big by buying this gently used machine that is built to last a lifetime. Comes with 2 portafilters, the direct plumbing set up, the upgraded feet, and the original feet.
I have a perfect seller feedback rating on eBay (same user name, feedback from 100s of buyers) and have sold here on CG before.

Listing Details Asking / Suggested Price: 1800 [PRICE DROP] Seller Name: Michael Nichols Seller Location: Mountain View, CA Sale Type: For Sale
The machine was purchased from ChirsCoffee. At the time of purchase, this machine cost $2500. I've owned it for over 2 years, so it's not under warranty but functions flawlessly and has seen light use.
The following maintenance and upgrades have been performed: replace expansion valve, replace gasket and screen at the group head, regular cleaning, new solid chrome feet. This machine also has an original steam wand -- which produces much better microfoam than the subsequent "no burn" wand on he Duetto machines.

A year ago I would have jumped on this, but I have to wait until income tax comes in next spring before I can do another upgrade. I would love to get a Duetto for that price. That's one of the best machines you can buy before you get into the spending levels of the GS3 or Speedster.
