Espresso: looking! Grinder: lido
Posted Thu Jan 2, 2014, 12:38am Subject: WTB - Caravel in working condition - Send yours to a good home!
I have finally decided to enter the world of espresso and I'd like my first machine to be a Caravel. I'm very interested in manual levers and I was wondering if any Christmas purchases may have freed up some machines that might not get to see the attention they once did. Please consider passing the torch along to an enthusiastic newbie!
I'm not necessarily looking for a perfectly restored unit, just one that works well. Scratches, chips, and faded finish are not a problem as long as all the parts are there; I just want to make some decent espresso (secretly I'm hoping to make espresso good enough to convince my SO to support a sizeable future increase in the household espresso budget). I'm flexible on the price as long as the value (better condition, extra bits and bobs, etc) is there.
I'll need to have the machine shipped to me. I'm in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada, about 5 hrs due north of the OE Manual Grinder World Domination Headquarters.
